O-Grill

The O-Grill

While traveling through the southwest last year we decided we needed a more compact grill to fit in the limited storage available in our Class C.  There are a lot of compact grills on the market and a lot of them are really cheap, both in price and quality.  We BBQ a lot so we wanted something that would not only last, but would cook well too.  We found the 0-Grill 1000 at Camping World and so far it has met all of our expectations.

The O-Grill is a small clamshell style design. The body is made from steel and has legs that fold up underneath.  Once folded up it has locking device to keep the two halves together and it can be stood on end ready to carry by with the handle.  The locking device is one thing that doesn’t work that well, but it doesn’t really affect it’s use. The cooking surface of the O Grill is165 square inches, and is made of cast iron with a porcelain-enamel finish.  The burner is stainless steel and it has a Piezo Push Button Igniter.

The O-Grill is really versatile in terms of the fuel it can use;  propane, butane and Primus-Power Gas (with use of an adapter).  The unit comes ready to use with  Worthington or Coleman 1 lb propane canisters.  We bought an adaptor hose so

we can use our 20lb cylinder.  The O-Grills output is 9,500 BTU’s so it has ample cooking power for everything from steaks to vegetables.

If you’re car camping or picnicking the O-Grill also comes standard with Nylon carrying bag which makes it really easy to carry around and keeps it from getting banged up.

The O-Grill is a little pricey at around $150.00 – $200.00  US, but I think it is well worth it.  Just a note for our Canadian friends, you can find this grill in Canada too, but is called the Q-Grill.  Go figure. I have seen it in stores for around $190.00 Cdn.
