Well, this year’s trip may be postponed or delayed indefinitely due to various and sundry health-related issues.

We moved out of the 5th wheel on May 29th and moved in to Bruce’s parents’ place that same day with the thought of getting the Class C ready to go by the 1st of June.

But.  Between parental health issues and Bruce’s sudden increased pressure in his eyes (glaucoma-type pressure) we feel we need to stay in Victoria for the time being.

We tried to get a spot for the next few months back at Oceanside RV park, but they’re fully booked with summer travelers.  With the old West Bay (now Salish Sea RV Haven) closed and under renovations, it’s really made the existing RV parks difficult to get into.  Luckily we had pre-booked a return date of Sept 1st, so we have somewhere to live in the fall at least.

We put our name in for full-time living at Oceanside over a year ago and found out recently that we’re at #6 on the list!  With affordable housing becoming un-affordable … it seems that living in an RV is getting more and more popular.  We were told that in the last 6 months the waiting list had grown to over 100 and they’ve stopped taking names!

So … we may take some short trips here and there but until then … Bruce’s parents have to put up with us for a while.

You just never know …. life constantly throws curveballs at you.  Just gotta roll with it I guess!
