After a day paddling in Portage lake looking at the glacier, we were sort of starved. One of the crew of the Glacier Tour boats suggested this place and it sounded good, so off we went. What a find! This is a really funky, engaging place that makes you feel right at home. Lots of Alaska memorabilia on the walls along with mounted animal heads and skins (if you’re into that sort of thing) with a cool, cabin-like feel to it. Good music playing and good local beers (as well as the standards) on offer which we happily checked out!

The food is varied, with lots of appies, salads, burgers, pizza and tons of daily offerings to choose from. Prices are in the $13 – $15 range for most items but you do get a lot for that!

In this small town … it’s a great find!
